Problem:I have a wired Afterglow Gamepad Controller for XBox 360 and there seem to be no drivers for the device at all! Change default music on mac to spotify. Upon checking Device Manager, I received an Error 28 (which is what I just stated above).I tried googling and searching for drivers on my system/the device itself and there seem to be no driver. I've tried installing the generic drivers (found here[microsoft.com]) and they (of course) do not work.

Since the Creators update when I restart my PC the mouse moves to the top of the screen. It just moves on its own power. I have to unplug both my G35 headset and my X52 HOTAS from there I have to go to Device Manager and remove the 2 HID compliant mouses. Then I can plug them both back in. PC Pitstop - PC Performance Roots. PC Pitstop began in 1999 with an emphasis on computer diagnostics and maintenance. During the early days of the dot com boom, our online PC maintenance tools were skyrocketing.
Another thing I've also found is that I'm missing a HID Compliant Driver (as it's so called), and of course: It can't be found anywhere through googling as it's usually a different driver for each type of device (ie. Mouse, Keyboard, Game Controller etc.).
Question: How do I install the 'HID Compliant Driver' so that Windows can detect my device?
From what I've found out so far of the problem, it seems like the device proper driver is find/usable, it's just that the complementary driver ('HID Compliant Controller' driver or whatever it's called) is missing as the same problem is happening with my Wiimote (except over Bluetooth).

Edit 1: If you haven't already figured out, I'm trying to use my xbox controller on my PC.
Edit 2: The drivers were working last year, until I reformatted my laptop (clean wipe of everything).
Edit 3: I've been experimenting with all sorts of drivers (and the 'no driver at all'), but the thing I seem to always notice happening is that when I insert the controller, the lights blink (on the controller) and Windows plays two low-pitched sounds, instead of a low pitched followed by a high pitched note (which means a device has been plugged in and is ready to use). Yes, I've tried it in nearly all ports.
Edit 4: It's not in Device Manager, the driver simply does not exist on my system at all!

Likely, your system somehow 'misplaced' its C:WindowsSystem32drivers*hid*.sys files. A normally functioning system can be expected to have the following files: Harley heritage softail luggage rack black.
- hidclass.sys
- hidparse.sys
- hidusb.sys
- kbdhid.sys
- hidbth.sys
- hidir.sys
- mouhid.sys
- hidbatt.sys
- VMBusHID.sys
There are two options for restoring any of these missing files.
- Copy the file from C:WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepository (they will be in sub-directories under this structure)
- Expand the file from your windows 7 dvd
- Open D:sourcesinstall.wim with a utility like 7-zip
- Browse to the drivers folder (1WindowsSystem32drivers)
- Extract the driver files you need
Note You may need to get the inf files as well. In that case follow the instructions on this article.
Likely, all you are missing is hidusb.sys but I would check for all of them. This should address your missing HID driver issue. As to the gamepad itself, I would highly recommend uninstalling its drivers before attempting this fix, then re-installing.

I like many others were experiencing the XPS 9575 erratic mouse/touchpad issue along with the pen issue. Links to these issues on Reddit are below. I reported the issue to Dell who wanted to replace the touchpad, however I refused explaining I did not believe it was a hardware issue since I could not reproduce it in BIOS or in the Dell Diagnostic utilities and if it were hardware I would expect it to be there all the time rather than randomly. https://renewassociation532.weebly.com/blog/itextsharp-html-to-pdf. Dell agreed to allow me to test further and also hinted that there was perhaps a link to the touchscreen or picking up the laptop by the right hand corner with one hand (ie. some kind of pressure or warping issue). I tested all these scenarios over the following weeks.

https://renewoc586.weebly.com/blog/what-is-pdf-reader-for-mac. I was unable to replicate any association between picking the laptop up from the right hand corner.
The issue still occurred after disabling the touchscreen in Windows Device Manager so I concluded it wasn't the touchscreen.

At this point I started working on the theory of an interference with having 3 devices controlling the mouse (touchscreen, touchpad, and Dell ActivePen PX579X). I had already proven the touchscreen wasn't to blame so I disabled the 'HID compliant pen' device (NOTE: I did not disable the 'Dell Pen Device' device). Whilst the pen was disabled the issue did not occur (over a week of constant use). Interestingly when the pen was re-enabled the issue still hasn't reoccurred despite my best efforts. Additionally I noted the pen issue in the first link below was resolved also.
This information was fed back to my contact at Dell and I requested to be informed on any progress so they could have time to test this perhaps on customers experiencing the issue before I posted my findings here (better to test in a controlled environment if possible), but despite repeated attempts I have had no further contact.
IN SUMMARY: for those experiencing this issue with the XPS 9575 can you reply advising whether you have a pen device setup and what model it is. Additionally, try disabling the 'HID compliant pen' in device manager (not the Dell Pen Device); reboot; then re-enable the 'HID compliant pen' and report back whether this works for you.
Update 20190304: I discovered there was a Microsoft Store update for the Dell Active Pen software, after installing this I was presented with a notification that the Wacom drivers needed installing for this (updated) software to work and the link directed me to this page (http://us.wacom.com/en/feeldriver/?dlid=621ad0). On reading the Readme notes (http://us.wacom.com/en/feeldriver/readme.html) for this driver, I noted the following under Known Issues which sounds very much like the issue many of us have been experiencing.
When using Bluetooth, button function when in or out of proximity to the tablet can result in the Windows key 'sticking.' This causes the Windows key modifier to act as though it is pressed even when it is not. What you can do about it: If the Windows key becomes stuck, press the physical Windows key on your keyboard to disable the key, or log out of your computer and then log back in.
I have installed this driver and will continue to test to ensure the issue doesn't re-appear.
Update 20190326: The solution provided here also reportedly resolves palm interference when using a stylus as reported in the following thread.
Update 20190329: Still no recurrence of the touchpad issue after disabling 'HID Compliant Pen' and reenabling it after reboot. Currently running the following versions (although I don't believe these versions affect the fix I have provided).
Windows 10.0.17763
BIOS 1.2.0 10/10/2018
The firmware umbrella mac download. Dell Active Pen Software 7.6.36.0 (from the Microsoft Store)
Wacom Components (Dell Active Pen Driver) 7.6-9.8.27
Intel HD Graphics 630 25.20.100.6373
